How to Use Basic Resume Search in Tobu

Tobu’s Basic Resume Search interface is designed for quick access to candidates using common filters. This article explains the default search fields and how to use them effectively.

Default Search Fields

The basic search interface contains six pre-set fields at the top:

1. Job Title

- Located at the top-left of the screen. - Type a role (e.g., "Java Developer"). - Tobu auto-suggests titles and includes synonyms from your database. - Example: Searching "Java Developer" will return candidates with similar titles like "Software Engineer (Java)" or "Java J2EE Developer."

2. Location

- Enter a city, state, or country. - Tobu identifies candidates **currently located** in the specified location. - Example: Typing "New York" will show only candidates based in New York.

3. Keywords

- Works as an OR filter by default. - Enter one or more keywords (e.g., "Java", "Spring"). - Resumes containing **any** of the keywords will appear. - Matched terms are highlighted in the search results.

4. Candidate Name

- Directly search by candidate's name for quick lookup.

5. Boolean Search

- Use expressions like `"Java AND Spring"` or `"Python OR Django"`. - Quotation marks enforce exact phrase matches.

6. Years of Experience

- Enter a minimum and maximum value (e.g., 3 to 7). - Filters resumes based on total work experience.

Result Ranking

- Tobu ranks resumes by relevance based on keyword occurrence and resume structure. - Closer matches to your criteria appear at the top.

Export Options

- Once results are displayed, you can export:

 - Up to 25 resumes instantly.
 - Or, initiate a bulk export (covered in a separate article).
