Resume Limits in Tobu

Tobu accounts are structured around a resume limit, which defines how many unique resumes you can store and manage in your private database. It works similarly to how Google Drive or Dropbox offer storage caps — but instead of megabytes, Tobu counts unique resumes.

What Is a Resume Limit?

  • A resume limit is the maximum number of unique resumes your account can store.
  • Duplicates are automatically merged and do not count against your limit.
  • Resume limits are not monthly caps — they refer to your total resume database size.

For example, if your plan allows 25,000 resumes, you can store and search from up to 25,000 unique resumes extracted from all connected sources (email, desktop, WhatsApp, cloud).

Available Resume Limit Tiers

Tobu supports the following resume database sizes, which you can choose during sign-up or upgrade later:

  • 5,000 resumes
  • 10,000 resumes
  • 25,000 resumes
  • 50,000 resumes
  • 100,000 resumes
  • 250,000 resumes
  • 500,000 resumes
  • 1,000,000 resumes

Resume limits can be increased at any time on a prorated basis, and no changes are made without explicit approval.

What Happens When You Hit the Limit?

  • Resume syncing pauses automatically — no auto-upgrades.
  • You’ll receive a notification to either:
    • Upgrade to the next resume tier
    • Manually delete older or irrelevant resumes to free up space
  • You’ll still be able to search and download all resumes already in your database.

Cleaning Up Your Database

You can choose to:

  • Mass-delete irrelevant resumes by date, keyword, or source
  • Export your resume database (Excel or ZIP) before cleanup

This gives you full control without forcing an upgrade.

Free Trial and Subscription Plans

  • During the free trial, you can sync up to 3 months of recent email history to test Tobu's extraction and parsing quality.
  • Subscription plans come in Silver and Gold tiers, which define features, not resume count. Resume limits are add-ons and scale independently.

Your Data is Yours

  • Tobu does not share or sell resume data.
  • If you cancel your subscription (after a minimum 6-month period), all data is returned to you in two formats:
    • A ZIP file of raw resumes
    • An Excel sheet of parsed candidate data
  • After delivery, all your data is permanently deleted from our systems.
